Full Force Dance Company is a local nonprofit dance education organization that is a division of Chico Creek Dance Centre in Chico, Ca. whose purpose is to provide all dancers (specifically hip-hop and jazz), age four and above, with performance opportunities and high quality dance training. Founded in 2001, the Company continues to grow and expand under the direction of Head Director Genevieve M-Peña. Full Force is designed to be an educational opportunity for dancers to expand their skills, perform for their community on a regular basis, and attend workshops and competitions in the north state. Dancers do not have to be professional or aspire to a professional career; they only need the desire to dance and have the appropriate dance technique. The Company provides a unique artistic outlet in our community different from any other, in that we not only teach our dancers to dance, but to teach others, choreograph, produce shows, and learn the history of dance. In recognition of Full Force Dance Company’s one of a kind effort in the arts, it has been awarded an Annie for “Best Local Dance Program.”
